Audience

s.m.ART encourages artists from all walks of media and from all levels of professional development to join the organization. This is a resource center, a network, a source of information, development and encouragement. The goal is for the organization to be able to grow and develop addressing the constantly changing needs of creative professionals.

We wholeheartedly welcome creators from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The artists' individual backgrounds are their best assets. These are the drivers of the breakdown of cultural barriers as well as the unified force of the diverse world that makes up the communities of New York City.

New York City is our neighborhood and our playground. We actively seek out partnerships with community development organizations, arts services and art education institutions, as well as financial and economic empowerment initiatives and local businesses.

Business Model

s.m.
ART aims to diversify its earnings and support. To sustain our operations we will charge fees for membership and for our workshops. We believe in our personal approach and the value the workshops bring to assist artists in allowing their creative talents to sustain their individual selves.

To develop and grow our programs and services we will seek outside support, partnership opportunities and funding. We encourage ongoing relationships with nonprofit organizations, community development organizations and galleries. We will actively seek support through contributions of private individuals, private businesses, foundations and a variety of institutional and government funders.
